Realizar-se-á nos dias 17 e 24 de maio, no âmbito do projeto ART. 63 “O direito à segurança social e a crise – o retrocesso
social como normalização do estado de exceção financeira”, a conferência “Social rights under adjustment? A tale of two crises”.
Esta conferência tem a finalidade de explorar os efeitos das crises e dos programas de ajustamento estrutural (PAE) nos direitos sociais em diferentes contextos nacionais. Pretende, concretamente, comparar os impactos dos PAE em três continentes, nomeadamente Europa (destaque para Portugal), América Latina e África; estimular o debate sobre semelhanças, especificidades e ensinamentos retirados, bem como incentivar a discussão sobre como promover e fortalecer os direitos sociais durante e após a emergência da pandemia #COVID19.
