Franco Tomassoni holds a degree in Anthropology from the Universitá degli Studi di Bologna and a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences – FCSH at the New University of Lisbon – UNL. He is currently finishing his PhD in Globalization Studies at UNL with a research, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, on the extractive policies in the late Portuguese empire and oil companies in colonial Angola. He was a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra in the framework of the Horizon 2020 Project: Platform Labor in Urban Spaces – PLUS. He is a member of the editorial board of the publishing house Outro Modo.
