Researcher at CoLABOR – DataLABOR

Frederico Cantante (1980) has a degree in Sociology and Planning (ISCTE-IUL) and in Law (NOVA School of Law of the NOVA University of Lisbon) and a PhD in sociology (ISCTE-IUL). He was for several years an assistant researcher at CIES-IUL and a member of the permanent team of the Observatory of Inequalities, during which he published several articles in national scientific journals, books and book chapters. His research has consisted mainly of studying economic and social inequalities and the labour market. In 2019, he published the book “O Risco da Desigualdade” (Almedina) and was awarded the António Dornelas Prize, awarded by the MTSSS.
