Research Coordinator – Line of Social Protection
Pedro Adão e Silva (Lisbon, 1974) has a degree in Sociology (ISCTE-IUL), and a PhD in Social and Political Sciences (European University Institute, Florence). He is an Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL School of Sociology and Public Policy, where he is, also, Director of the doctoral program in Public Policy. He is a member of the board of IPPS-IUL and of CoLABOR.
He has coordinated the edition of several volumes of analysis of public policies in Portugal and published several articles on public policies, particularly in the social areas; he is also the author of the book, “E Agora? – a crise do Euro, as falsas reformas, o futuro de Portugal (2013), co-author, with Mariana Trigo Pereira, of “Cuidar do Futuro – os mitos do Estado social português” (2015) and with João Tomaz of “Deixem-nos Sonhar: o caso Saltillo, Portugal e o México 86”(2017).
Columnist at Expresso and Record, he is a political commentator at RTP and TSF. He is also part of the panel of commentators of the program “Aposta Tripla”, on Sport-TV.
