Frederico Cantante

Frederico Cantante (1980) has a degree in Sociology and Planning (ISCTE-IUL) and in Law (Faculty of Law of the New University of Lisbon) and a PhD in sociology (ISCTE-IUL). For several years he was an assistant researcher at CIES-IUL and a member of the permanent team of the Inequalities Observatory, during which time he published several articles in national scientific journals, books and book chapters. His research has mainly focused on the study of economic and social inequalities and the labor market. In 2019, he published the book The Risk of Inequality (Almedina) and was awarded the António Dornelas Prize by the MTSSS.
