Jorge Caleiras is a senior official at the Social Security Institute, where he has worked, and a researcher at the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-Iscte). He has a PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra and has carried out research and published in the areas of the labor market, employment policies and social protection. He is the author or co-author of several books and articles in national and international journals. He has participated in several research projects and was awarded the António Dornelas Prize in 2017 and 2022. His interests continue to focus on work and employment at the intersection with social protection. He is currently a researcher at CoLABOR.
