CoLABOR has just published the study "Impact of COVID-19 on nursing homes". This study aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on residential facilities for the elderly (ERPI), based on an analysis of sociodemographic, territorial and organizational factors.

The State of the Nation and Public Policies 2023
The report "The State of the Nation and Public Policies 2023", an initiative of IPPS-Iscte and released today, focuses on a reflection on structural reforms in different areas of governance, namely Employment, Justice, Housing, Social Security, Social Protection, Immigration, Health, Education, Science and Higher Education.
CoLABOR contributed to this initiative by developing and updating the "State of the Nation in Figures" information platform.

Wage trends in Portugal
The latest data from INE (1st quarter of 2023) shows an increase in salaries in the private sector and a loss of purchasing power in the public sector. Frederico Cantante, a researcher at CoLABOR, commented on the latest available data on RTP3's 360 programme and addressed some of the issues that explain the evolution of pay in Portugal, namely the country's economic specialization profile, wage inequalities and internal disproportion, collective bargaining and the scope of unionization.
