Sónia Costa
Sónia Costa (Coimbra, 1981) has a degree in sociology and planning (ISCTE-IUL), a master's degree in sociology (ISCTE-IUL), specializing in education, family and public policies, and a PhD in sociology (ICS-UL).
On a professional level, she has carried out research since 2005 at the Center for Territorial Studies and later at DINÂMIA'CET-IUL, crossing the areas of planning and evaluation of public policies, poverty and social exclusion and sociology of law.
In recent years, she has also worked at the Support Centre for Gypsy Communities of the High Commission for Migration and at the Observatory for the fight against Poverty in the city of Lisbon - EAPN Portugal, participating in the monitoring and evaluation process of the National Strategy for the Integration of Gypsy Communities (ENICC) and the National Strategy for the Integration of People Experiencing Homelessness (ENIPSSA) and in close coordination with local and central government structures and civil society organizations responsible for implementing and monitoring public policies.
