Tito Damião

Tito Damião Albernaz has a PhD in Social Sustainability and Development from Uab, whose thesis aimed to contribute to a benchmark for measuring the sustainable value of goods and services of public interest, tested in the tourism sector in Lisbon. He has a degree in Sociology from FCSH/UNL, a postgraduate degree in Historical Economics and Sociology (FCSH/UNL) and another in Labor Sciences and Labor Relations from ISCTE-IUL. He was a researcher in Sociology at SOCINOVA/FCSH/UNL and co-founder of Númena. He has held management positions in public policy organizations, on the themes of employment, SMEs, innovation, sustainability, inequalities and social protection, in the European Parliament, the Ministry of Justice, Santa Casa and IEFP. He was a consultant at SDO - Consultores and Stone Soup. He has dedicated much of his career to innovation and social entrepreneurship, as head of the Entrepreneurship Department at Santa Casa (SCML), coordinator of start-up incubation at AUDAX-ISCTE, social entrepreneur, mentor at IAPMEI and in various acceleration programs, and has taught entrepreneurship at ISCTE-IUL Business School. In the last decade he has dedicated himself as an independent researcher to evaluating the impact and sustainability of NGO projects, public policies and private sector philanthropy. He teaches impact assessment methodologies at IPPS-IUL/ISCTE.
