Launch of ebook The Articulation of Employment and Protection Policies in Portugal
PRESS RELEASE
Employment and social protection: study says that the country has responded better and with more adequate policies during the recent pandemic crisis than during the previous financial crisis.
On July 8, at 5:30 p.m., the Casa da Imprensa in Lisbon will host the launch and presentation of the CoLABOR ebook "The articulation of employment and protection policies in Portugal. Five decades of not always virtuous movements", by researchers Jorge Caleiras and Renato Miguel do Carmo, with a foreword by Paulo Pedroso.
The session will feature comments from Miguel Cabrita, former Assistant Secretary of State for Labor and Professional Training; Raquel Rego, assistant researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) in the area of labor relations and Manuel Carvalho da Silva, director and coordinator of CoLABOR.
This book analyzes and understands the dynamics of employment and social protection policies and their results from democracy to the present and identifies movements of progress and regression, coexisting in the same cycles, legislatures or governments, as well as the most immediate impacts.
