COLABOR publishes sociographic analysis of public administration employment
The study entitled "Sociographic dynamics of employment in the Public Administration" analyzes sociographic trends in this sector in the period 2011-2022 and notes that there is a greater concentration of employment in the Central Public Administration, particularly in positions in the area of public administration and in the area of education, science and technology, where the profile is mainly female, aged over 45, with higher education and stable contractual ties.
The author, Sara Nunes, a researcher at CoLABOR, also identifies some challenges, namely the ageing trend of the workforce and the persistence of gender inequalities in access to senior management positions, issues that she believes need to be taken into account when planning employment policies in the public sector.
