CoLABOR 2023 Conference "Employment in Portugal: Diagnoses, Trends and Policies"
Employment in Portugal is going through a period of recomposition and change, some accelerated, others gradual, with short and medium term social, economic and political impacts. Against the backdrop of the country's development matrix and its economic specialization profile, it is necessary to promote an analysis of the qualifications of workers, the impact of technologies on the organization and provision of work, and public policies, namely tax policies and the contributory system.
These processes are taking place in a context of social, economic and political uncertainties, especially in the European Union to which we belong, within a framework of geopolitical changes on a global scale, factors that add complexity to the analysis of the labor market and the goal of creating quality jobs.
The CoLABOR 2023 Conference, which will take place in Porto on December 6 at the Manuel António da Mota Foundation, will focus on analyzing these trends and reflecting on them strategically, mobilizing knowledge and perspectives from the academic, business, trade union and political fields.
Employment in Portugal: Diagnoses, Trends and Policies is the title of the CoLABOR 2023 Conference, which will feature four thematic sessions, described in the event's program, and a final speech by the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho.
