Study "Effects of working time arrangements on shift work and night work"
The Commission for Equality in Labour and Employment (CITE) has teamed up with "CoLABOR - Laboratory for Labour, Employment and Social Protection" as part of a study on the effects of ways of organizing working time, with a particular focus on shift work and night work and their effects on workers and employers.
This study also has the support of the Strategy and Planning Office (GEP) of the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security (MTSSS), the Social Security Institute (ISS) and the Informatics Institute, I.P. (II), entities of the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security.
As part of this study, online surveys are being carried out among workers and employers.
This survey deals with the effects of work organization on workers' career paths, employers' recruitment and personnel management policies, health and safety at work and reconciling professional, personal and family life and is being applied to a random sample of workers registered with social security, stratified by age, gender and sector of activity.
In turn, the survey of employers is being applied to a random sample of companies with 4 or more workers registered with social security, stratified by the number of workers registered and the sector of activity.
The data is processed by Social Security to determine the random sample of workers registered with social security.
The survey is applied through online access via Link, and is completely anonymous, respecting the principles of the GDPR in force in this Office.
All data is confidential and duly anonymized before being shared with CoLABOR, which will carry out the respective analysis and statistical processing.
Employee participation is voluntary, so the decision to take part is free and personal.
The survey runs from the end of June to the beginning of July. If you are contacted to respond and have any questions, please send an email to estudos@colabor.pt.
