The State of the Nation and Public Policies 2022 - IPPS-Iscte
Structured in several thematic chapters corresponding to the respective areas of governance, "The State of the Nation and Public Policies", prepared annually by the Institute of Public and Social Policies of Iscte since 2019, aims to contribute to the reflection of public policies by promoting informed and open debate on the intervention of the State in the different areas of governance.
Written by different authors, "The State of the Nation and Public Policies 2022. Recovery in uncertain times" looks at the dimensions of Health, Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Social Protection, Employment, Economy, State, Justice, Transport, Housing, Democracy and Demography.
Each of the chapters includes two separate texts, a brief diagnosis of the country's general situation in the area in question, followed by a more detailed text analyzing a specific policy. The various indicators mentioned are available on the O Estado da Nação em Números (The State of the Nation in Figures) portal, developed in partnership between IPPS Iscte) and CoLABOR.
Tiago Santos Pereira, Paulo Pedroso and João Vasco Lopes, CoLABOR coordinators and researchers, are the authors of the chapters Science and Technology, Social Protection and the State, respectively.
