New CoLABOR project studies climate impact on income inequality and taxation

CoLABOR's new project, ClimatEquality, aims to deepen knowledge about the impacts of climate change on inequalities in the field of labor income and taxation, contributing to the design and evaluation of effective public policies in this area.

In partnership with researchers from other institutions and other stakeholders, namely PlanAPP, IEFP and the Secretary-General for the Environment, the project aims to measure the country's economic and territorial vulnerability to the demands of a more sustainable economy. There will also be an in-depth reflection on the impacts of the Just Green Transition on tax policies, the social security system and the provision of training and retraining for workers.

ClimatEquality is part of the Science4Policy 2024 (S4P-24) program, a competition for science studies for public policies promoted by the Center for Planning and Evaluation of Public Policies, in collaboration with the Foundation for Science and Technology, I. P. and funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
