Summary
The INCA project examines the influence of digital platforms, especially the GAFAM group (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft), on European democracies. These companies have become key influencers in the formation of public discourse, in the organization of work and industrial relations, as well as in political debate.

The project aims to decode how these platforms use business lobbying to influence legislative processes and assess their impact on democratic institutions. It also explores potential governance models that balance platform expansion, social inclusion and public participation.

Adopting a transdisciplinary approach, INCA's work plan is divided into work packages (WPs). Each task, integrating theoretical and empirical research, forms a WP and focuses on politics, economics or culture. The project includes nine main WPs and several supplementary ones for dissemination, communication, coordination of Think Tanks, management and ethics.

CoLABOR is leading Work Package 5 (WP5), entitled "Qualitative Field Research: Mapping Industrial Relations in the Platform Economy".

This project will highlight the unique characteristics of industrial relations in the platform economy and outline the changes and challenges that the ongoing process of platformization imposes on industrial relations. At the same time, it will establish codes of conduct and policies to promote fairer industrial relations.
